On the planet Zamzizor is a colony of third graders…
The kids go out on an expedition to find food. They go into a shadowy cave. It’s dark and wet. One of the third graders, his name is….Yakson, finds something shiny in the soil. He puts his hands in the dirt and pulls it out. It’s a….A GIANT ROCK! But not any rock….They take it back to the lab. They test it for all sorts of magical and technological abilities.
When they put it under the microscope, the lead scientist Snailey, sees something strange. Inside the crystals of the rock is something familiar….something they’ve seen before…something they know and love….is that a…is that a…hamburger?
It’s so small. It’s so precious. It’s so cute. How did a mini hamburger fit inside this alien rock?
Lead Scientist Snailey decides to investigate further. Her assistant scientist Yulius suggests that they cut it open and attempt to free the mini hamburger. He gets the sharpest and most precise serrated circle saw. Lead Scientist Snailey puts it into place. Assistant scientist Yulius straps it down. Yakson is there chilling and eating cheeto puffs.
The blade gets closer and closer to the rock. It spins faster and faster. Finally…CONTACT!
A bright explosion lights up the laboratory! A blast blows them off their feet.
Lead Scientist Snailey gets up slowly and holds her now aching head.
Did it work? She thinks.
The dust clears. The scientists approach the table. The rock has crumbled away and something amazing stands among the rubble.
It was the hamburger….except…Now legs! Arms! Eyes! A mouth! This hamburger was standing and waving at the scientists.
“Hey guys!” The hamburger said.
Lead Scientist Snailey could hardly believe her ears. This hamburger was talking…out loud…to her and Yulius. She had to get President Wyan and Vice President Zevalynn. They would want to know about this amazing discovery.
Yakson woke up on the floor of the laboratory. His head was hurting. His arm was hurting. His leg was hurting. And now, his feelings were hurting. How dare this mini hamburger disturb his peace? All he wanted to do was be friends. But the mini hamburger created an explosion and he did it on purpose!!!!!!
“We must destroy this abomination!” Yakson yelled angrily while he held his aching arm. He rushed towards the table to grab the mini hamburger.
“Oh no!” The mini hamburger yelled. It jumped off the table and ran for the door. Assistant scientist Yulius attempted to grab him. He tripped over the fallen equipment and knocked Yakson into the wall. They both struggled to get up while the mini hamburger ran out the laboratory doors.
Lead Scientist Snailey was stuck behind a fallen shelf. She tried to climb over and follow the mini hamburger. By the time she got to the door, the mini hamburger was nowhere to be found.
Snailey sighed in disappointment. She needed to go to the government building to report this to the President and Vice President. Yulius wiped the dust off his pants from the explosion and decided to follow Snailey to the government building.
They arrived in the government building. President Wyan was already waiting for them. Vice President Zevalynn was nervously pacing the courtroom. She had read the report of what had happened and feared that the colony could be under attack by this mysterious creature. President Wyan was concerned but not quite yet ready to call the mini hamburger an enemy…
